A New View

I’m taking part in a group exhibition at Denbies Wine Estate from the 11th to the 17th of February. I’m really excited for the opportunity to exhibit with such a fine group of local artists.

If you can make it, come and have a look at the fabulous work on display – you will not be disappointed.

Summer / Autumn Update

This update is long overdue and a lot has happened since the summer.

I am much better at updating the news on social media, so if you do like to use social media, please have a look on Instagram or Facebook. If you click on ‘blog’ at the top of the page, you will see live updates from both.

I will do a short catch up on the news from the summer till now.

After a very successful Surrey Artists Open Studio event, I had news that I had a drawing accepted for the Society of Women Artists 157th annual exhibition. It was a real honour and a lovely experience to attend the private view at the Mall Galleries in London.

The SGFA open exhibition, Draw 18, followed in October, I had four drawings accepted for the exhibition and I was honoured to have one of my pieces selected for the Associate Member Award.

I finished off the Autumn exhibitions by taking part in the Leatherhead Art Club’s annual autumn exhibition in the lovely old chappel at St. John’s school in Leatherhead.

Surrey Artists Open Studio 2018

This year I decided to take the plunge and join three other artists in an Open Studio as part of the Surrey Artists Open Studios initiative. We are four very diverse artists so I believe there will be something of interest for everyone.

We finished the hanging this week and everything is all set. I’m very excited to be exhibiting with such talented local artists. I’m really looking forward to seeing and meeting with everyone who comes along to the studio.

Winter Trees on Box Hill

This May I completed two very large drawings using pen on Bristol board. It was good to work on a larger scale for a change.

Bookham Common Birch Trees

I’ve been spending a lot of time working on small clayboard pictures. These are very time consuming and contain a lot of fine detail.

This one is a scene from Bookham common in autumn.
